Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 9, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Calvo — Scientific Calculator & Formulas handles information, both in the Android app (available on Google Play) and on the Calvo website. Some features (like the AI Math Solver) are currently available only on the website and are noted as such below; this policy will be updated as features are added to the app. Calvo is built and maintained by an independent developer. If you have any questions, contact usmaniftikhar2803@gmail.com.

In short: Calvo does not have user accounts, does not run its own server, and does not collect or store your personal data on any server we control. Your calculations, history, saved results, and preferences stay on your own device (or in your own browser). The only place data leaves your device is described below.

1. The Calvo Android App

1.1 Advertising (Google AdMob)

The Android app shows ads through Google AdMob to support free development. AdMob may collect and use data such as advertising ID, device information, and approximate location to show ads (which may be personalized based on your device settings) and to measure ad performance. This data is collected and processed by Google, not by us.

1.2 Data stored on your device

Your calculation history, saved formulas, theme, language, and other preferences are stored locally on your device. Uninstalling the app removes this data.

1.3 Permissions

The app may request permissions needed for its features (e.g. internet access for ads and the AI Solver, storage for the home-screen widget). We do not use these permissions to collect personal data for ourselves.

2. The Calvo Website

The website version of Calvo (the calculator, formula library, converter, GPA/CGPA tools, and AI Math Solver you use in your browser) does not have its own backend server or database. Everything below happens either fully on your device or as a direct connection between your browser and the named third party.

2.1 Local storage (on your device only)

The website uses your browser's local storage to remember, entirely on your own device:

None of this is transmitted to us. Clearing your browser's site data, or using a different browser/device, removes it.

2.2 AI Math Solver (Google Gemini API)

This feature is currently available on the Calvo website only. It may be added to the Android app in a future update, at which point this policy will be revised to reflect that.

The AI Math Solver feature lets you type a question or upload a photo of a problem to be solved. This feature works using your own free Google Gemini API key, which you obtain directly from Google AI Studio and paste into the website.

2.3 Google Fonts

The website loads fonts from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com / fonts.gstatic.com). Loading a webpage that references Google Fonts causes your browser to make a request to Google's servers, which may log standard information such as your IP address. See Google's Privacy Policy for details.

2.4 Hosting

The website is hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub, as the hosting provider, may log standard access data (such as IP address and request time) as part of operating its infrastructure. This is governed by GitHub's Privacy Statement, not by us.

3. Children's Privacy

Calvo is intended for students and general use and is not directed at young children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since we do not operate a server or accounts, we do not retain any personal data from any user, including children.

4. Your Choices

5. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as Calvo's features change. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
